RTA Aims to Cut Traffic Time by 80% in Al Warqa'a

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is spearheading a major project designed to significantly alleviate traffic congestion in the Al Warqa'a area. This ambitious initiative, which focuses on improving road infrastructure and connectivity, aims to reduce travel time by up to 80%, enhancing accessibility for thousands of residents.

The key component of this project is the construction of additional entrance and exit points directly from Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road. These new connections are part of a broader plan to expand the internal road network within Al Warqa'a, which spans 8 kilometers. Once completed, the upgrades will increase the road capacity by approximately 5,000 vehicles per hour. The anticipated reduction in travel time is striking, with journeys expected to decrease from 20 minutes to just 3.5 minutes. In addition, the distance for commuters will be slashed from 5.7 kilometers to 1.5 kilometers.
