EDGE Group to Launch FADA, UAE’s New Space Company for Satellite Manufacturing
EDGE Group, one of the UAE’s foremost defense and advanced technology conglomerates, has unveiled FADA, a new space company that aims to cement the nation’s footprint in the global space industry. The establishment of FADA is seen as a strategic move towards developing sovereign space capabilities in the UAE and creating cutting-edge solutions in satellite technology.
FADA will focus on the development, manufacturing, and assembly of satellite systems, advancing the UAE’s objectives of becoming a major player in space technology. By building next-generation satellite solutions, the company will address both national and commercial needs, furthering the UAE’s transition to a knowledge-based economy. FADA’s manufacturing scope will cover Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Optical, and Infrared payloads, alongside satellite platforms and cybersecurity measures for space assets.
With this venture, EDGE aims to align with the UAE’s broader vision of fostering a self-reliant and innovative ecosystem within the space sector.
