Istanbul Gears Up for MAKTEK AVRASYA, the Region's Leading Machinery Trade Fair

The 8th edition of MAKTEK AVRASYA, dubbed "The Fair of Machine-Making Machines, " will be held from September 30 to October 5, 2024, at the TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul, Turkey. This year's event focuses on digital transformation within the machinery industry, featuring a dedicated experience zone and a platform for startups.

MAKTEK AVRASYA brings together the world's leading companies and brands in the machinery sector, showcasing a wide range of products like machine tools, metal processing machinery, cutting tools, and software solutions. With booth sales nearly complete and over 1, 000 companies participating, the event anticipates a significant international audience.

Building on the success of the 2022 edition, where over half the exhibitors strengthened existing partnerships and acquired new clients within Turkey, MAKTEK AVRASYA 2024 aims to surpass those numbers. Organizers expect more than 85, 000 visitors from 90 countries, creating unparalleled networking and business opportunities. Special invitations and buyer delegations organized by Tüyap's international offices will further enhance these prospects.

The theme of digital transformation takes center stage with a dedicated experience zone showcasing the latest advancements in manufacturing technology. A Start-Up Zone provides a platform for new players to connect with established industry leaders and pursue collaborations. Additionally, the "Open Design Istanbul Design Competition" will be hosted during the fair.

Fostering innovation, the competition focuses on "Designing for Sustainable Industries" and "Robotic Loading/Feeding System Design for CNC Machine Tools. " Awards will be presented on the opening day, with the finalists' designs displayed in a dedicated area.

Free online tickets are available until July 15. The fair will be open from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM for the first five days and from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on the final day.
